The water pressure in the shower was slightly less vigorous than I prefer, a minor inconvenience, but not a big issue.

I enjoyed the easy walk to the city center. parking was free and convenient. breakfast impressed me. I had scrambled eggs one morning. the staff were friendly and helpful, especially during check in.
The soundproofing was not good. There was some noise from outside.

The hotel's location was VERY useful for my visit to York Barbican. It was just a short walk. the room offered a nice amount of space and included a good shower room. the staff was friendly AND helpful throughout my stay.
The window didn't block outside noise effectively. Traffic sounds were noticeable, particularly late at night. this made sleeping somewhat difficult.
